Reviews about Lime Kilns
- 4 / 5By Andrew FergusonGlad we found this pub after our first visit to Hinckley, great choice of food and good ale lots of local banter and lively characters, just what you need on a Monday night. The evening was going well until a local bore came in and informed everyone about his irritable bowel syndrome! we left soon after as it was difficult for anyone else to get a word in. some people are just rude and ignorant.May 22, 2017
- 5 / 5By Cal MacDriving past the lime kilns on a sunny day feels almost criminal because the outside sitting area is so inviting and always full of customers you will feel like your missing out if you pass by. My advice is to take the side road into it and enjoy a responsible drink whatever way your journey is going.
Being right next to the canal the place is not short of atmosphere from ducks, canal boats and canal cyclists. Very good!January 25, 2017 - 5 / 5By Justin ForbesThis is a must visit pub on the Ashby Canal. We spent an evening drinking some great Pale Ales and the Landlord was very friendly. We also bought some amazing home made cheese "Smoked Chedder" which went down perfectly with the real ale. Must say the huge selection of home made pies (about ten) really made the place smell and feel like an old school pub with loads of history. I would recommend this pub to any real ale enthusiast. Keep up the great work! Justin @ Midland Mallard.December 08, 2016
- 5 / 5By Steve WhiteA real pub, old wonky wooden furniture, old decor, real ales and friendly locals that probably spend too much time in there. The prices are very reasonable, the selection is superb and the deals they offer such as tuesday curry night; £3ea is great value for money. If you like classic pubs or want a beautiful spot to drink a cider in a nice beer garden this is the place for you. The one downside is the toilets are a little dated and tend to smell.December 08, 2016
